1. Arrange the rooms of your home in your own way. Even if this might mean a complete chaos for some of you, there is still some order in it. Put your belongings in a way that you can always find what you are looking for.
2. If you don’t want to have mold in the bathroom you should have ventilation there. But if you still have something wet in there like towels, you should never leave any wet clothes. Another way to prevent it is to leave the door for the bathroom open for a few minutes.
3. If you have any vases that you washed and they still have drops of water from the inside but you cannot reach it you can take a regular napkin and roll it that just put it inside the vase. The water will disappear for a couple of minutes.
4. If you don’t want any dust on the bookshelves you could put a linen piece of cloth on the bottom part of the shelves. This will keep your books clean and neat.
5. If you drop your cell phone in water never attempt to turn it back on. What you have to do first is take out the battery and the SIM card. Wipe it off with a cotton towel inside and out. Then, dig it in a bowl of dry rice. Do not dry it with a hair dryer or other sources of heat.
6. When sharpening your kitchen knife, keep it in a thirty degree angle from the whetstone. This way the sharpness of the blade will last longer.
7. The order, the nice smell of a home-cooked meal in the kitchen, house plants in the living room, and clean sheets in the bedroom – these are what turns a house into a home.
8. Add a little bit of shampoo on a grease stain to prepare it for cleaning. Then, wash in the washing machine and the stain will be gone.
9. You can use nail polish remover to get the price tag off your newly purchased item.
10. Paint the top part of your keys to be able to always use the right one for every door.
11. Sort the clothes according to the fabrics they are made of to save time the next time you iron or wash them.
12. If you notice a button getting loose, do not wait until it falls. It is a matter of a couple of minutes to fix it.
13. Wash your curtains. Then, hang them on right after taking them out of the washing machine to save yourself the long process of ironing.
